The logic is quite simple: you can't run endlessly! You lose your breath and have to stop.
I know that this is very controversial decision that may ruin the entire experience of the game. Walking all the time at a very low speed is very boring, and each trip over a long distance takes a lot of time. This is also a good way to get away from enemies, as the player usually runs a little faster than the NPC.
But we are developing a survival game! A simple trip to the store is extremely dangerous and can cost you your life. And of course, you can't run endlessly simply avoiding all thousands of zombies following you.
So, we tried to maintain a compromise between constant running and turning the game into a terrible slow tedium. Currently, maximum run time is 5 seconds, and breath regeneration time is 15 seconds. But we promise we can change the values in the future.
When experience points will be available in the TrappedTogether game, we will definitely allow them to be spent on the "Runner" skill. If you enjoy running you can develop this skill.
