The look of the game has become darker and more mystical.
But I can't think of a story that explains it.
At first, it was assumed that there would be a change of day and night (at night it is colder, and in order not to freeze you need warm clothes, or even a fire if you are outside. At night visibility is reduced. It is even possible that the activity of zombies can change depending on the time of day).
But now it turns out to be eternal darkness, and there is no plot to explain it....
